- All the proper nouns should be capitalized and common nouns should not be capitalized.
- When the idea changes a new paragraph should be started. Students generally hand over papers with very few paragraph breaks.
- Commas serve a number of functions. They denote pauses.
- While you are proof reading, read the sentence out loud. It is doesn't sound in a proper way, the first place you should look is the commas.
For example: The incorrect sentence - The boy showed us his tickets someone gave them to him. Correct sentence - The boy showed us his tickets. Someone gave them to him. Comma splice occurs when two independent clauses are joined with a comma but no conjunction. The comma splice joins two complete sentences with a comma. If you use some of these techniques while writing a term paper it can create wonders.
