Long before retiring from a career spanning twenty-five years in senior-level marketing positions in the television broadcasting industry, Russell discovered the poetry of Wallace Stevens and T. S. Eliot and decided that yes, it was possible to do business by day, art by night. From the moment of that discovery until today, he’s managed to squeeze twenty-six hours into twenty-four, the legerdemain of which has resulted to date in multiple publications, both on the page and on the ‘Net, and in two Pushcart Prize nominations—one for fiction and one for poetry. Prose is a many-splendored thing, however, and Russell is as comfortable with exposition as he is with stories or verse. Each of these forms requires its own measure of economy and grace—the chief requirements of any written communication. Business communications, in contrast to literary works, have an additional requirement: the ability to execute under pressure and on the fly. A rush job rarely results a first-rate work-product. That said, nimble fingers and a resourceful brain can usually accomplish the task more quickly when the pressure’s on if they belong to someone used to operating under the constraints of a tight deadline. Deadlines are the reality of most businesses. Russell understands deadlines. He also understands that accuracy and clarity are no less imperative to a project under a tight deadline than they are to a project for which no deadline exists—except, of course, the author’s own death. That he knows of, that particular deadline doesn’t yet loom.

Hello! It’s an honor to be given the chance to work for DoctorText.com. I obtained my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Sociology. My emphasis in graduate study was on research methodology. On regards to research papers, I loved working on research papers from my undergraduate school years. Once I started on a paper, I would be driven to finish the paper as soon as possible in perfect form. I’ve worked on various research papers during my undergraduate school years. These have included history papers as well as microbiology papers. I have taken a variety of courses during my undergraduate school years because I was initially undecided on what to study. Despite the variety of courses, the lowest score I ever got for any research paper during my undergraduate school years was an “A-.” Once I started on a research project, I would do my best to write the perfect paper. During my graduate school years, I have worked on research papers that included various subjects in Sociology. These have included papers on medical sociology and race and ethnic relations. I have also had professional work experience in the field of research and education. I have worked as a Research Assistant and also as an Instructor at the University during my graduate school years. I have also volunteered as a Research Assistant at a local Research Center in the State. After obtaining my Masters Degree, I worked for the government as a Research Statistician for a couple of years. Although I entered the job as a Level 1 Research Statistician, I quickly became a Level 3 within 1.5 years. Due to some personal reasons, I quit the government job and went back into the field of education. I headed towards teaching undergraduate courses online. Currently, I still teach various social science courses online for a U.S. accredited University. I love both research and education.

Writer, Artist, Engineer... I began in commercial art/graphic design and advertising, moved onto a long career in civil/construction engineering, and have evolved into a business, technical researcher and writer. Education was my "hobby" earning me degrees in visual communications, computer science, civil engineering, business administration and engineering project management. My post graduate degrees run from technical, to Associates, to Bachelor of Science, and finally an MBA. I've worked as and engineer for approximately 22 yrs., and have moved onto a second career as a writer and consultant on business and engineering, and some technology issues. As for hobbies, I have recently begun spinning and weaving on my own wheel and looms, as well as making an occasional quilt and painting/3D artwork. My current artistic project are designing 2 tarot decks with companion books. I make every effort to keep mobile, whether via wireless internet or portable "hobby" equipment since travel is on my agenda as much as is reasonably possible. In my spare moments, I work with my husband on developing our acreage in the Okanogan - from drilling a well, to erecting solar, to building structures. If nothing else, I love to keep busy and have been told that I do that well! Last but not least, are my grown sons, an attorney and a teacher/federal proctor. Since they live halfway across the country. I've spent several years in Europe as well and so, guess I'm well traveled.
